## Generated filessection toAGENTS.mdnaming the paths automation owns, and cross-links it from## Changelog entries.Context: in #6734 the docs agent documented a CLI release by adding an entry to
fern/products/cli-api-reference/cli-changelog/2026-08-24.mdx. Nothing in this repo told it that directory is synced fromfern-api/fernby the automated "Update changelogs from fern repo" PRs — the changelog section only named thedocs/anddashboard/changelog dirs, so hand-writing an entry there was the compliant reading. Same exposure exists forfern/snippets/version-number-*.mdx(hourlyupdate-versions.yml) andfern/translations/(nightlysync-translations.yml).The section states the rule both ways — don't write to these paths, and don't delete/reformat what automation put there — since the follow-up failure mode in that PR was destructive rather than additive.
